1 456 Bike Description
BMW R100GS PD Classic. Single seat with rack to rear (as opposed to dual seat), black tinted screen, spot light fitted to engine bar on LHS, both lower and upper mudguards to front end, soft grips fitted, a satnav mount was fitted to cross bar of handle bars (Garmin satnav in case was in storage box of tank) and pannier frames (panniers not on bike at time stolen). A very distinctive and rare (in UK) old bike which was in very good condition after spending a lot of money and time with plans for future tours.Theft Description
Taken in early hours of morning of Wednesday 2nd August whilst parked in street (Lumley Road in Burley area of Leeds). Heavy duty grey cover also taken (silver duct tape repair at lower end) !!Recovery Description
Bike now recovered 3 weeks or so after theft when police caught culprits up to no good early hours of morning on the bike in the same area from where it was stolen (Burley area of Leeds) Obvious ignition electrical work to sort, some aftermarket parts of value removed and a bit of mistreatment to resolve, but after quite a bit of heartache, inconvenience, money and time the bike is back on the road (although not quite the bike it was before the theft). Thanks to all who have messaged and who I have approached at the time of the theft, and of course the Police for it's recovery.
