Bike Description
Pearl white - which is an unusual colour for this bike. There were no scratches and the top box will have probably been detached by now. It's a small feminine looking scooter, quite noticeable and only a few months old.Theft Description
The thieves followed me in a scruffy white Ford Transit Custom Low Roof van. I parked in the garage which is in the car park to the rear of a small block of flats. Within a couple of minutes of me walking away they had broken into the garage. The van drove right up to the opened door and they lifted the bike into the back of the van and drove off. It was all recorded on cctv. It happened at 14.30 in the afternoon in full view of the windows of the buildings where people were sitting, working from home. Due to the angle they didn't see the bike being put into the back of the van - and the robbery took only about 2 or 3 minutes. The bike has a complicated new steering lock so they couldn't turn the front wheel but I hadn't put the chain lock on the back wheel - though even that wouldn't have stopped them carrying it away. It was only a few months old - bought to replace my previous bike (stolen and recovered wrecked) after being without a bike for a year - very annoying.Recovery Description
Contacted by police in March 2022 who had found it in Hazel Grove, about 7 miles from where it was stolen. It had been crudely hand sprayed with black paint and the number plate had been ripped off. All a bit of a mess.
