Bike Description
1991 Harley Davidson FXRS-C (note that FXRS/Low Rider was not an option on the 'Model' drop down tab above so Dyna was selected as nearest variant). Frame No. 1HD1EML16MY129612 Engine No. EMLM129612 Owned since new (nearly 33 years). Still in 'as new' condition, ran beautifully). Has taken me round Spain, Sweden and France a few times. Can only recall 2 faults in 30+ years (drive seal & gear shift return spring fails but it still got me home). Standard 1991 black paintwork, all original chrome with just a few small mods; Tuned length drag pipes, air filter restrictor plate removed and carb re-jetted to suit (I did this in 1992 when manufacturers warranty ran out) Other minor changes include chrome foot and highway pegs, chrome belt guard, progressive rear shocks, HD points cover and flat indicator lenses. Note this bike was stolen at the same time as my retirement project bike. A 1976 Z1000 - also registered on this site as stolen.Theft Description
Stolen from a locked garage in village near Stockbridge, Hampshire (about half way between Salisbury and Winchester). Unfortunately, no CCTV or eyewitnesses. Theft took place either Tuesday (30-Apr) or Wednesday (1-May) and was discovered on Thursday (2-May). Hampshire Police sent me a text stating that they had completed and closed the investigation within 1 hour of it being reported due to lack of evidence and any reasonable lines of investigation being identified.
