1 852 Bike Description
Ratty old yellow and silver R1100GS bike. Dink in fuel tank. No engine bars. Obvious signs if corrosion. Workman's bike rather than a showroom thing. Everything old and being replaced as I falls apart. Currently that includes leaky front fork seals and worn brake pads. High screen over the heavy beaky beast. Much loved bike that despite not being on any great adventures has filled the great adventure in my husband's heart for over 17 years.Theft Description
Stolen from Wookey Hole Caves car park whilst my husband was underground digging in the depth of the cave. Very unlikely to have been driven away as there was a special start up process. Immediate area searched with no joy. Hotel overlooking the carnpark has no CCTV and staff don't recall seeing anything This is a really sad theft of what is obviously a working man's old low value bike, by yet another heartless tosserRecovery Description
Recovered via Facebook posting. Local community page participants spotted it abandoned about 2 miles from where it had been stolen with 20 extra miles on the clock. Steering lock and ignition damaged. We'll have to await repair to see if they thrashed the old engine. On the plus they did leave it upright on its stand in a place where they thought it would be recovered.
